In Korea, it is called miyeouk (미역) and used in salads or soup. If it is dried, soak it in the water for 10 to 20 minutes before using it.
- Use:
Soup, Side dishes, Salads- Storage:
Fresh Seaweed: Keep in the refrigerator.
Dried Seaweed: Keep in the cabinet.

Would you please help me explain what is different between Sea Mustard ( called MiYeok) and Dried Seaweed (called Gim)? I intend to cook this soup but not sure to buy the right kind of seaweed in Vietnam. Besides, thank you so much for your effort to creat this blog, I like Korean cuisine so much ! ^^

As you can see.. the look is completely different.. gim looks like pieces of paper..and miyeok is little thin strip pieces. 🙂 hope this helps..
