Have a quick and delicious meal with this pre-made Sempio dakgalbi sauce. I posted homemade dakgalbi before; this Sempio sauce tastes as good as my dakgalbi. The spicy and slightly sweet chicken, vegetables, and rice cakes taste very good. Amazon sells this sauce along with other pre-made Sempio sauce, so you can try them someday. 🙂 Of course, you can try my homemade dakgalbi recipe too.

Video Instructions
Main Ingredients
- 1 Pack Sempio DakGalBi Sauce
- 1 Pound Chicken Breast (2 Cups)
- 1 Cup Sticky Rice Cakes
- 1 Cup Cabbage
- 1 Cup Korean Sweet Potato
- ⅓ Cup Perilla Leaves (About 6 Leaves)
- 2 Green Onions
- 1 Tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
Chicken Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp Cooking Wine
- ⅛ tsp Black Pepper
Directions
Chop 2 cups of chicken breast into 1 x ½ inch Strips. Add the chicken, 1 Tbsp of cooking wine, and ⅛ tsp of black pepper in a mixing bowl.
Pour ⅔ of a pack of Sempio dakgalbi sauce on the chicken and mix well. Marinate it for about 10 minutes. Save rest of the sauce for later.
Meanwhile, chop 1 cup worth of Korean sweet potato, 1 cup worth of cabbage, ⅓ cup worth of perilla leaves into similarly sized pieces as the chicken. Cut 2 green onions into ½ inch slices. Obtain 1 cup of sticky rice cakes.
Add the marinated chicken in a heated and oiled pan (about 1 Tbsp oil).
Since it takes time to cook sweet potatoes, add the sweet potatoes in this step and fry them with the chicken for about 5 minutes on medium-high.
5 minutes later, add the cabbage, rice cakes, and the remaining dakgalbi sauce into the pan. Fry for 10 to 15 minutes, or until all of the ingredients are completely cooked.
When everything is done cooking, add the green onions and perilla leaves. Cook for 2 more minutes and turn off the heat.
Sprinkle 1 tsp of sesame seeds on top before serving.
It looks very appetizing doesn’t it? 😉 When I do not feel like mixing up my own sauce for this dish, Sempio’s sauce is a perfect time saver for me. This dish is good for potluck parties. It is spicy, so if you love spicy food and dakgalbi, I highly recommend you try this.

OMG, I’m seriously drooling. I miss the many dakkalbi places in Seoul! And it looks so easy too with the ready made paste!

Today i tried first time to cook Dakgalbi at home and as expected its not Bad taste! Still i Think it is really suitable for Foreigner because the Sempio souce is not spicy at all.
To add more spice to It i add 1 spoon of hot pepper paste mixed Some water nd 1/2 spoon of sojasouce.
After Adding this maybe some chilli powder is. Best to adjust the level of spicyness.
Thanks for sharing your dakgalbi!~
