Main Ingredients:
- 2 Cups Cucumber (12 oz) (¼ tsp Salt)
- 1 Cup Crab Sticks
- ½ Cup Onion
- 1 Generous Tbsp Vinegar
- 2 tsp Sugar
- ½ Tbsp Sesame Seeds
- ½ tsp Yellow Mustard
- ½ tsp Garlic, Minced
- 2 Pinches Salt
Directions
These are all the ingredients for this recipe.
Obtain 2 cups worth of cucumber (12 oz), 1 cup of crab sticks, and ½ cup of an onion.
Cut the cucumber and onion into thin strips. Shred the crab sticks into thin strips too.
Add the cucumber in a mixing bowl and season it with ¼ tsp of salt.
Set it aside for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, add 2 tsp sugar, 2 pinches salt, ½ tsp minced garlic, ½ tsp yellow mustard, and 1 generous Tbsp vinegar to a mixing bowl. Mix everything until the sugar dissolves. You can use either American yellow mustard, Korean mustard, or wasabi depending on your tastes.
After 5 minutes, you will see that liquid came out of the salted cucumber. Take out all the cucumber and gently squeeze any remaining water out. Don’t squeeze too hard, but just enough to remove the extra liquid.
Add the cucumber, crab sticks, and the onion into the sauce.
Mix everything together and then sprinkle ½ Tbsp of sesame seeds on top for the final touch.
Store it in the refrigerator and serve it cool.
It looks very colorful and appetizing. Try this refreshing cucumber and crab stick salad this summer.
