Today, I want to share a simple yet tasty recipe that you can use for holiday parties. You can make a fancy-looking dish with just a few ingredients you normally would have at home. Japanese sushi rolls inspire this, so if you like that food, you definitely need to try this. The seasoned rice, fresh cucumber, and crab stick salad are so good altogether.

Main Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Cooked Short Grain Rice
- 1 Cup Crab Sticks
- 8 Strips Cucumber (8 Inch Long)
Seasoning for Rice Ingredients:
- ½ Tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tsp Sugar
- ⅛ tsp Salt
Seasoning for Crab-stick Ingredients:
- ¼ Cup Mayonnaise
- ¼ Cup Onion, Minced
- 1 tsp Yellow Mustard or Sriracha Sauce
Directions
Mix ½ Tbsp of vinegar, 1 tsp of sugar, and ⅛ tsp of salt to season the rice.
Prepare 1 cup of freshly cooked short grain rice and add the seasoning mixture to the rice.
Mix the rice gently. Cover the rice and set it aside while preparing the rest of the ingredients.
Shred 1 cup of crab sticks.
To enhance the flavor of the crab stick, finely chop ¼ cup worth of onion.
Add the onion, ¼ cup of mayonnaise, and 1 tsp of sriracha sauce or yellow mustard to the crab sticks.
Mix everything well. This crab stick salad is so tasty, you can just eat it just as it is.
Cut a seedless cucumber into 8 inch long pieces. Then, cut the cucumber into thin strips with a vegetable peeler. We need 8 strips for this recipe.
By now, the rice will have cooled down. Put some water on your hands so the rice will not get stick to your hands when you make the rice balls.
Take about 1 Tbsp worth of the rice out and form the rice into about 2 inch long oval shaped rice balls.
Place one rice ball and wrap the cucumber strip tightly around the rice ball.
Put the prepared crab stick salad generously on top of the rice in the remaining space.
Finally, sprinkle a little black sesame seeds on top for garnishing and nourishment.
