The quizzes on this website require a modern and up-to-date computer operating system and web browser. There are so many different configurations of computer hardware and software that it is impossible to provide clear instructions for everybody on how to make the quizzes work. That said, these configurations should work without any issues:
- A Mac computer (made by Apple) running OS 10.4+ (a.k.a. Tiger, released on April 29, 2005). For those interested, Aeri’s Kitchen uses mostly Mac computers to produce the content on this website.
- A Windows 7 computer with Internet Explorer 9+ or the latest release of Firefox or Chrome.
Hangul
If you do not have one of those configurations, then you will probably have to setup and/or update your computer. The first thing your computer needs to do is display the Hangul letters from the Korean text. See the two boxes below:

Both contain the same Korean text. The one is a picture of what the text should look like, and the other is your computer’s attempt to display it. If they do not look similar, then you will need to setup your computer to display Hangul. There are several guides listed below:
Audio
The next thing is your computer’s web browser needs to support the recent HTML 5 standard audio playback. At the time of this writing, only the most recent web browser releases support this. If your browser does not support this audio tag, then you need to upgrade to a recent web browser release. Any of the following should work:
