Do you like beef jerky? I love it. Recently, a blogger sent me some Korean brand beef jerky. Robert launched this Korean beef jerky company, Artisan Snacks last year. Korean beef jerky in America, isn’t this exciting news? So, I am happy to share my new experience of tasting Korean brand beef jerky with you today.
Okay, the beef jerky box has a nice neat design giving a good first impression about the company and their product. π I think this would make a good gift for someone who loves Korean food or beef jerky like me. hehe… The box says it’s made in the USA with USDA beef. It is U.S inspected and passed by department of agriculture. The main ingredients are Top round beef, soy sauce (water, wheat, soybeans, salt, lactic acid, sodium Benzoate: 1/10 of 1% as a preservative) He also added ” My family in Korea has been making beef jerky for over a hundred years. Utilizing artisan care and wholesome common ingredients found in most kitchen, our family’s tasty snack has remained true to its original recipe. Every batch of Go-ggi Korean brand beef jerky is a tribute to my family’s culinary art. ~~~” Wow, Korean beef jerky from family recipe, it must be really tasty. π
When you open the box, you will find the jerky in a sealed plastic package. The jerky was made with thin lean meat and the smell was good. My husband, his family, and I tried this. We all agreed they used good beef and the taste was a little sweeter but less salty than some American beef jerky. It had a kick of black pepper which we liked. I love American beef jerky, however after eating a few pieces, I feel like it’s too salty to eat any more. This Korean beef jerky is dangerous in that point.. π because it has the right amount of saltiness with sweetness it makes you want to eat more and more. However, that proves this is good jerky to try.
Flavor wise, I really liked it. Maybe it is the sweet flavor with soy sauce flavor that gives you a hint of Korean BBQ, bulgogi flavor. However, if I add my personal opinion as a customer, it would be even better to have more garlic, onion, or pear flavor in the jerky. Plus, it will be great if the company would make a spicy jerky using Korean spicy sauce like μ μ‘λ³Άμ. ^^ Just personal opinion. π hehe As I said, the flavor is good. And I definitely want to try this delicious jerky again someday. So would my family.
The New York Times introduced goggi sometime ago. If you are interested, you can read the news article . Where can you buy this Korean jerky? They have their own website, and you can order from it. Also, one of the biggest Korean grocery market in USA, Hmart just started to sell this goggi brand jerky in their stores, so If you have Hmart around where you live, you can buy there. I hope someday we will have Hmart around here. Anyway, thank you very much, Robert. Wish you good luck for your business.

This is absolutely the best blueberry pie I have ever had. I have made this 3 times now and oh so delicious Thank you for such an awesome recipe.

Hi Kimberly,
I’m so happy to hear that. Thanks a lot. Btw, I don’t know if it is the batch of the frozen blueberries I get these days.. When I make my blueberry pie with this recipe, my husband and I thought it is a little too tangy… so I was going to change the recipe little bit..by removing lemon juice… what do you think??.. you liked your pie as it was ?? or you agree with me that it will be better without lemon juice… maybe I can put (optional) for lemon juice… anyway.. thanks a lot..
