Sempio makes several different flavors of drinking vinegar such as pomegranate, red ginseng, wild grapes & black raspberry, citron, wild berry, honey. Many people think drinking vinegar is healthy, so these are meant to serve as a more diverse and delicious way to drink vinegar. Normally, you mix some of this drinking vinegar with water or milk to drink. However, I want to show you a fun and different way of enjoying it. I will make a homemade gelatin dessert using their drinking vinegar. It has no artificial food colorings or artificial flavorings in it – just healthy ingredients. So try it someday. 🙂

Main Ingredients
- 4 Envelopes Unflavored Gelatin (1 oz Total)
- 1 Cup Cold Water
- 1 Cup Boiling Water
- 2 Cups Sempio Rice Vinegar Drink
- ¼ Cup Honey
Directions
Sprinkle 4 envelops of gelatin over 1 cup of cold water. Mix it gently and set it aside for a minute.
Pick one of Sempio’s rice vinegar drinks. There are different flavors: pomegranate, red ginseng, wild grapes & black raspberry, citron, wild berry, honey, etc. As an alternative, you can use some kind of fruit juice. In that case, replace all of the water in the first and third steps with the juice of your choice.
Boil 1 cup of water and then pour the 2 cups of your chosen rice vinegar drink into it.
Add about ¼ cup of honey. Stir it until the honey dissolves. (You can use sugar or corn syrup instead.) If you used fruit juice instead of the drinking vinegar, you might want to reduce the amount of honey or sugar since the juice is already sweet. Once it starts to boil again, quickly turn off the heat.
This is what the gelatin looks like after a couple minutes.
Pour the boiling water and vinegar mixture into the gelatin mixture. Stir it well until the gelatin dissolves.
Pour the mixture into a flat-bottomed glass container and put it in the refrigerator for several hours, or until the mixture becomes firm. It took about 5 hours for mine.
Cut around the edge with a knife to make it easier to remove. Turn the container upside down over a cutting board to make it fall out.
Cut it into small cubes or any other shape that you want.
I used the pomegranate flavor this time. It is a little tangy from the vinegar, but it is also sweet and has a nice fruit flavor and good texture. Enjoy!
