Hi Everyone! Today, I will make a very delicious fusion food using Sempio’s bulgogi sauce – Bulgogi Quesadillas. If you have any left over bulgogi, you can make this very simple, yet appetizing, food with this recipe. The sweet and savory bulgogi flavor, along with the cheese and vegetables, tastes very good in crispy tortillas. Try it someday.
Yield: 4 Quesadilla

Video Instructions
Main Ingredients
- 8 Flour Tortillas (Burrito Sized)
- 1 Pack Shredded Mild Cheddar & Monterey Jack Cheese (2 Cups, 8 oz)
- 1 Cup Beef (½ lb)
- 3 Tbsp Sempio Bulgogi Sauce
- ½ Cup Onion
- ½ Cup Red Sweet Pepper
- ½ Cup Yellow Sweet Pepper
- 2 Tbsp Jalapeño
- Some Cooking Spray
Directions
Obtain about 1 cup worth (½ lb) of beef. You can use sirloin, rump, tenderloin, or chunk for bulgogi. Cut the beef thinly.
Mix the beef with 3 Tbsp of Sempio’s Bulgogi sauce. If you have any leftover cooked bulgogi or marinated bulgogi, you can use it. If you do not have Sempio’s bulgogi sauce, you can try my homemade bulgogi sauce recipe also.
Cover the beef with some plastic wrap and marinate it for at least 10 minutes.
Chop all the vegetable ingredients into little chunks: ½ cup worth of onion, ½ cup worth of red sweet pepper, ½ cup worth of yellow sweet pepper, and 2 Tbsp worth of jalapeño.
Add the marinated beef into a heated pan. Preheat the oven to 350°F in this step.
Fry for about 8 minutes, or until the beef has completely cooked on medium. Some liquid will come out of the beef when you fry it. When all of that liquid evaporates, the beef is done cooking.
Chop the cooked beef into little pieces.
Divide the beef into 4 groups. Also divide the vegetable ingredients into 4 groups.
Spray some cooking oil on a baking sheet.
Obtain 8 flour tortillas and place one of them on the baking sheet. Sprinkle ¼ cup of the cheese on top of the tortilla. Leave some space around of the edge of the tortilla so when the cheese melts, it will not come out and burn on your baking sheet.
Sprinkle 1 group of the divided beef on top of the cheese evenly.
In the same way, sprinkle all the vegetable ingredients from one group on top.
Sprinkle another ¼ cup of the cheese on top of the other ingredients.
Cover it with another tortilla and press it down gently to flatten the tortilla evenly.
Bake it in a preheated oven for about 12 minutes. While one quesadilla is baking, prepare another one using the same process.
After 12 minutes, take out the quesadilla from the oven and cook the next one.
Cut the quesadilla into 6 pieces with a pizza cutter or knife.
It is very convenient to use Sempio’s bulgogi sauce and the taste is very good. The melted cheese, peppers, and onions blend together really good with the savory bulgogi flavor to make these delicious fusion quesadilla. This has become my husband’s and first son’s new favorite food. Enjoy!

Hi!
I would like to ask if it is possible to grill on a frying pan instead of oven as I stay in a dorm and I do not have a oven.
Aeri Lee says
hi Bianca,
Of course you can do that. 🙂

I saw Chef Baek use left over beef bulgogi and store-bought mandu skins to make korean styled quesadilla. He only used 3 ingredients: leftover bulgogi, shredded cheese and mandu skins. And pan fried the quesadilla over the stove. It looks super easy to make and delicious. But I prefer your filling recipe! 😉 One of these days, I will try making quesadilla with your filling on mandu skins and pan fry.
