I just bought Korean Red Pepper at a farmer’s market. I am wondering how to dry them so I can use them as a whole, dried pepper in sauces.
Thank you.
Aeri Lee says
hi DiAnne,
Wash them good and dry them as you dry other vegetables. Thanks
Ma Jie (毵堦备) says
Hi Aeri!
Is it possible to substitute the dried red chili peppers for the powder?
Is there a formula we can use?
Thanks!!!
Aeri Lee says
hi Ma Jie (毵堦备),
Different kinds of hot pepper or chilli pepper has different level or spiciness and taste.. so it is hard to tell the red chilli pepper can be replaced to this dried hot pepper.. I will say.. you try it for Korean cooking and see if you like the flavor.. Thanks.
