Chicken wings used to be a cheap part of the chicken. But they’ve grown a lot in popularity and they are no longer cheap. So, today, I want to introduce a way that some Koreans enjoy them using Coca Cola. The flavor is as unique as you can imagine. Instead of typical hot wings for your party, please try this Korean style Coke chicken wings someday.

Main Ingredients:
- 1½ lb Chicken Wings
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1 Cup Coke (8 oz)
- ¼ Cup Garlic Slices
- ¼ Cup Soy Sauce
- 2-4 Dried Peperoncino Pieces
- Some Sesame Seeds (For Garnish)
- Some Green Onion (For Garnish)
Directions
Get about 1½ lb of chicken wings. If your wings are huge like mine, cut them in half like this.
Put the chicken wings in a bowl and pour 1 cup of milk over them. Mix it all together.
Marinate them in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes. This will help to reduce the bad meat smell and flavor from the wings.
Meanwhile, slice ¼ cup worth of garlic cloves and prepare 2 pieces of dried peperoncino (dried hot pepper). If you want it spicier, you can use more hot peppers.
After 15 minutes, rinse the marinated chicken well and drain out the water.
Here is today’s key ingredient: an 8 oz bottle of Coke. You could Pepsi too.
Put the garlic slices onto the chicken wings and then pour half of the Coke (½ cup) and ¼ cup of soy sauce to them.
Mix everything together and marinate one more time in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, preheat a pan and put the marinated chicken wings into it. Cook them for about 8 minutes on medium.
After 8 minutes, the broth will be reduced by more than half. Now pour rest of the coke (½ cup) along with the dried hot peppers into the pan.
Once the sauce starts to boil again, some foam may start to form. Remove the foam with a spoon.
Continuously cook it for another 8 minutes or until the broth thickens.
Occasionally, you can flip the chicken wings so that they will get evenly coated with the sauce.
After about 8-10 minutes, the chicken wings were nicely glazed with the tasty sauce.
You can garnish them with some sesame seeds and the finely chopped green onion.
